Get ready for the 2027 GBNL season with our five-week GBNL Prep Training Block!

This training block is open to all Blue Jays players intending to trial for the 2027 GBNL season, with a focus on fitness, skills and getting players back into netball ahead of GBNL trials later this year.

We know that some players aren't playing netball over the summer season, so this is the perfect opportunity to get back on court, rebuild your fitness, sharpen your skills and get your netball legs back before trials.

When — 7:00-8:00pm on Thursdays, starting 8th October through to 5th November
Where — Courts 1 and 2 at BNA
Cost — Free

Each session will combine fitness, netball skills and game-specific training, designed to help players prepare for the demands of GBNL and head into trials feeling confident and ready.

There is no cost to attend, but we do need players to register their interest so we can plan numbers, coaches and equipment for each session.

Open to all Blue Jays players trialling for 2027 GBNL — whether you'll be playing over Summer or are looking to get back into netball, come along and get ready for trials!

Terms and conditions

  • By registering for the Blue Jays 2027 GBNL Prep Training Block, participants and their parent/guardian agree to the following terms and conditions.

    1. Eligibility
The training block is open to Blue Jays players intending to trial for the 2027 GBNL season. Participation in the training block does not guarantee selection in a 2027 BNA GBNL team.

    2. Registration
Registration is required for all players attending. There is no fee to participate; however, players are asked to register so Blue Jays can plan appropriate coaching, equipment and court space.

    3. Attendance
Players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible across the five-week training block. Players should notify the relevant Blue Jays contact if they are unable to attend a session after registering.

    4. Player Preparation and Safety
Players must arrive prepared to participate safely in all training activities. This includes:
    - Removing all jewellery, including earrings and piercings, before training.
    - Ensuring fingernails are cut short and safe for contact with other players.
    - Wearing appropriate sports clothing and suitable netball footwear.
    - Bringing sufficient water for the duration of the session.
Players who are unable to meet these requirements may be asked not to participate in certain activities for their own safety and the safety of others.

    5. Training and Fitness
Sessions will include fitness, netball skills and game-specific activities. Players are expected to participate to the best of their ability and communicate with coaches if they are unable to safely complete an activity.

    6. Health, Injuries and Medical Conditions
Players and parents/guardians are responsible for informing Blue Jays coaches or organisers of any relevant injury, medical condition or limitation that may affect participation. Players should not participate if they are unwell or have an injury that makes participation unsafe.

    7. Player Conduct
All players are expected to demonstrate respectful and appropriate behaviour towards coaches, other players, officials and volunteers. Blue Jays' expectations regarding respectful conduct apply throughout the training block.

    8. Parent/Guardian Responsibility
For players under 18, parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring players arrive safely at the venue and are collected promptly at the conclusion of each session.

    9. Weather and Cancellation
Sessions may be modified, postponed or cancelled where weather, court conditions or other circumstances make it unsafe or impractical to proceed. Where possible, players will be notified of any changes as soon as practicable.

    10. Photography and Media
By registering, participants acknowledge that photography may occur during Blue Jays activities for legitimate club purposes, including promotion and communication of Blue Jays programs and events. Any photography will be conducted in accordance with applicable Blue Jays photography and child safety requirements.

    11. Selection
Participation in the Blue Jays GBNL Prep Training Block is not part of the BNA 2027 GBNL selection process and does not provide players with an advantage or disadvantage in selection. Selection will be conducted through the BNA formal GBNL trial and selection process.

    12. Acknowledgement of Risk
Netball and fitness activities involve an inherent risk of injury. By participating, players and their parent/guardian acknowledge these risks and agree to follow reasonable instructions from coaches and organisers to support a safe training environment.

    13. Changes to the Program
Blue Jays reserves the right to make reasonable changes to session times, activities, coaching arrangements or the training program where necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated to registered participants.

    14. Agreement
By submitting a registration for the 2027 GBNL Prep Training Block, the player and, where applicable, their parent/guardian confirm that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
